This can be easily tested by creating a surface calibration and setting the lift off distance to '1'. HERE

This will result in the mouse not tracking above 1 CD (e g the depth of a single CD).. The surface calibration and lift off distance require Synapse software (or razer trounament drivers).. I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this (feel free to move it) I have found a problem with using XIM4 and the Razer Deathadder. HERE
